Position Title: Child Support Case Manager

Open Date: March 10, 2017

Close Date: March 24, 2017

Description:

This is a full-time position in our Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) unit. A Child Support Case Manager is responsible for managing child support cases in accordance with federal, state and local laws and procedures, (e.g., reviews child support cases; recommends changes; tracks child support cases to ensure compliance; conducts investigations to locate absent parents; establishes paternity; enforces child support orders; processes appropriate documentation); and testifies in court as needed.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Preferred completion of two years technical training or undergraduate major core coursework in criminology, social work, psychology or related field.
OR two years’ experience in performing child support functions to include conducting investigations to locate absent parents, establishment of paternity, and enforcement of child support orders.
OR one course or six months’ experience in:
Interviewing techniques
Business math
Case preparation techniques
Business writing and computer technology
High school diploma (or equivalent) which meets minimum essential functions

Other Requirements:

Valid State of Ohio driver’s license and insurability under Union County’s policy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective use of technology.
Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation.

Pay Rate: Starting pay $14.23/hour
